Identifying, recruiting and deploying effective teachers in Kano and Kaduna States


This report outlines the findings of a study of in-depth issues relating to the recruitment and deployment of Teachers in public primary schools in Northern Nigeria, with the long-term expectation of establishing a robust cadre of effective primary school teachers through appropriate evidence based policy change. The main intentions of the study were to: investigate and document research evidence; support the government to improve teacher effectiveness; help support research capacity; and build sustainable partnerships.
